hats

Here are some hats I've made recently. John David loves this pink one although it doesn't quite fit him and was made for a GIRL. If I have a girl, we'll keep the hat, if not, I'll give it to someone who is. I actually finished a blue one similar to this one for John David tonight and he'll get to see it tomorrow and try it on. I'll try to get a picture of it.

Another newborn sized hat in purples, blues, and oranges.

The one below is the same pattern but in blues and greens.

This last one is pink and red and looks cuter on (don't have a model yet). :0)

Big Boy Bed & Thomas Pajamas

Thought I'd post some recent photos of John David. Here he is a few days ago posing with his stuffed animals--Curious George & Barney. He sleeps with them every night--with one under each arm.
Daddy has been in Cleveland the last few nights to attend a review course for his boards that he will take after graduating. Of course, that is when John David decided to crawl out of his crib over and over. I didn't see him do it, but he must have been smooth because I never heard a noise. He came into our bedroom rubbing his eyes saying, "Mommy rock me." So I put him back to bed, hoping it was a one-time thing. Until 10 minutes later, when he came walking back in again, asking to be rocked. So I was thankful that we had already gotten a toddler bed and that Daddy had put it all together. I dragged it into John David's room and put up a baby gate---praying that he wouldn't be able to scale the gate. It worked. Well, kind of. After being rocked and laid down in his new bed, he stood at the gate and screamed. I finally got to bed around 2 am.

Last night went much better though. He got to wear his new Thomas the Train pajamas (size 3T!) that I got for only $2-$3 at a huge consignment sale. He grinned from ear to ear when he put them on. I got him several pairs of PJ's and a few were still brand new with tags from Gymboree and Baby Gap---all between $2-$3. :)

Anyway, last night I only rocked him for 2 or 3 minutes and he got up, walked to his new bed, and said, "Good night Mommy." It was that easy!

Here is a picture of John David eating breakfast this morning.

And one last picture. This is his new motorcycle that I found at that same consignment sale for only $5! The name of the sale is called Snuggle Bugs (click to see photos). It's held twice a year and you can find all kinds of awesome bargains.

If you are interested, there is also another huge consignment sale that has branches in major cities all across the country called JBF--Just Between Friends (click). My friend Kyra said the one in Denver is huge. You can sell your used kids' clothing and toys or just buy other people's stuff. These events are so much fun. I look forward to each one and find amazing deals.

P.S. I'll post his birthday party pictures in a few days.
