Here is a picture of David at Hodad's--a burger joint on Ocean Beach. David saw Hodad's on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. They had awesome burgers for even cheaper than fast food places. On the menu, we learned that a "hodad" is someone who pretends to be a surfer.
Here is John David waiting in line to eat at Cafe 222. David saw on the Food Network that Bobby Flay's favorite breakfast of all time was the peanut butter & banana stuffed french toast. So we had to try it! It was delicious. Hey, we didn't go to San Diego to lose weight.

Nana told us about Baskin Robbin's Oreo Outrageous ice cream. It's dark black with chunks of oreos and ribbons of the white cream filling. Wow, I have to say, that is one of the best ice creams I've ever had, if not
the best. John David is making a face because David was sharing his cone with him and he did
not want to give it back to Daddy.
